What is it?
Composition: One effervescent tablet contains 600 mg of acetylcysteine as an active ingredient. Excipients: anhydrous citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, anhydrous sodium carbonate, mannitol, anhydrous lactose, ascorbic acid, sodium cyclamate, sodium saccharin, disodium citrate dihydrate, zinc sulfate monohydrate, lemon flavor "BB". Pharmacotherapeutic group: Mucolytics. Indications: Thinning of viscous mucus and facilitation of its excretion from the respiratory tract. Acute, chronic and obstructive bronchitis, bronchiolitis, bronchiectatic disease, pneumonia, laryngitis, tracheitis, influenza, bronchial asthma, cystic fibrosis, sinusitis. Dosage and administration: Adolescents over 14 years of age and adults: half an effervescent tablet twice a day or 1 effervescent tablet once a day. The preparation is intended for oral administration after meals. The tablet should be dissolved in a glass of water beforehand. Additional fluid intake enhances the mucolytic effect of the preparation. For short-term illnesses caused by colds, the duration of administration is 5-7 days. If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 4-5 days of treatment, consult a doctor. Chronic bronchitis and cystic fibrosis: maximum duration of treatment - 3-6 months. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to acetylcysteine or any of the excipients of the preparation. Active peptic ulcer. Age under 14 years. Pregnancy and lactation: During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the preparation should be used only after a strict assessment of the benefit-risk ratio. Driving and operating machinery: Not noted. Overdose: No cases of toxic overdose have been reported to date. Overdose may cause gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Symptomatic treatment is carried out if necessary. Appearance and packaging: White, round, smooth tablets with a score line and a lemon scent. Packaged in aluminum and paper laminated foil intended for hermetic packaging of effervescent tablets. The package contains #10 effervescent tablets.
