What is it?
Allergosan Ointment 1% 18g tube Composition: Active ingredient: Chloropyramine hydrochloride 10 mg in 1 g ointment. Excipients: Cetyl alcohol, lanolin; soft white paraffin. Indications: Allergosan ointment contains the active ingredient chloropyramine, which belongs to the group of antihistamines. It has a well-pronounced anti-allergic effect. When applied to the skin, it suppresses itching, relieves redness, swelling, and rash. Allergosan ointment is used for insect bites; contact dermatitis and other itchy dermatoses (skin inflammation); rash and itching in various allergic conditions that do not affect large areas of the skin. If your condition does not improve or worsens after 5-7 days, you should consult a doctor. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine. Your doctor will assess whether it is appropriate for you to use Allergosan ointment. Driving and operating machinery: Allergosan ointment does not affect active attention and can be used by drivers and machine operators. How to use: Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse has told you. If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Recommended dose is: Adults and children (infants and children up to 18 years of age) – apply a small amount of ointment to the affected area 2-3 times a day, rubbing gently into the skin. How to use: Allergosan ointment is intended for topical use on the skin only. It is recommended for use in chronic diseases accompanied by hyperkeratosis (hardening and thickening of the upper layer of the skin). It can be used under a dressing or as part of physiotherapeutic procedures to achieve better skin penetration and a faster therapeutic effect. Do not apply to open wounds, eyes, or mucous membranes of the nose and mouth. Duration of treatment – 5 to 7 days. Storage conditions: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Shelf life: 3 (three) years Do not use Allergosan ointment after the expiry date indicated on the packaging. This medicine can be used for up to 1 month after opening the package.
