What is it?
Composition: 1 tablet contains: Ambroxol hydrochloride-30.0mg; Excipients: lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, magnesium stearate, anhydrous silicon dioxide, povidone 30, talc. Indications: Bronchodil tablets are used for respiratory tract diseases where sputum is characterized by stickiness and the disease is accompanied by difficulty in expectoration: acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia; bronchial asthma; bronchiectatic disease. Contraindications: Absolute contraindications: hypersensitivity to ambroxol or other components of the finished preparation; peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum; epileptic syndrome; children under 2 years of age (a different dosage form of the drug is available for children: Bronchodil syrup). Relative contraindications: In case of impaired renal function and/or severe liver diseases, Bronchodil should be taken with particular caution, which is manifested by using a reduced dose and increasing the interval between doses (in such cases, treatment is usually carried out under medical supervision). In case of impaired bronchial motility and excessive secretion, Bronchodil should also be taken with particular caution; in such cases, the course of treatment should be carried out under medical supervision. Use during pregnancy and lactation: Although there is no reliable data on the negative effects of ambroxol on the fetus and infants, the use of Bronchodil during pregnancy (especially in the first trimester) and lactation is permissible only if the ratio of potential benefits and risks from taking the drug is determined. Dosage and administration: Bronchodil tablets should be taken after meals with a sufficient amount of warm liquid (e.g., water, juice, or tea). For adults and children over 12 years of age: For the first 2-3 days, 1 tablet 3 times a day (90mg per day). Subsequent treatment continues with 1 tablet twice a day (60mg per day). For children aged 6 to 12 years: For the first two days, half a tablet 2-3 times a day (30-45mg per day). Subsequently, treatment continues with 1 tablet twice a day (30mg per day). The duration of treatment depends on the characteristics of the disease. It is not recommended to take Bronchodil for more than 4-5 days without a doctor's prescription. Side effects: Rarely, weakness, headache, dryness of the oral cavity and respiratory tract, salivation, rhinorrhea, gastralgia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, dysuria, exanthema may occur. If any side effects occur, including those not listed in this instruction, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Interactions with other medications: Simultaneous use of antitussive drugs (e.g., containing codeine) with Bronchodil is not recommended due to difficulty in expectoration against the background of reduced coughing. When used simultaneously with antibiotics (amoxicillin, cefuroxime, erythromycin, doxycycline), the delivery of antibiotics to the respiratory tract is improved. Overdose: Ambroxol has high tolerability at doses up to 25mg/kg. Symptoms: increased salivation, nausea, vomiting, decreased blood pressure. Treatment: gastric lavage within the first 1-2 hours after taking the drug, intake of fatty foods; it is necessary to monitor hemodynamic parameters and, if necessary, carry out symptomatic treatment. Dosage form: Blister containing 10 tablets; 2 blisters are placed in a cardboard box with instructions for use. Storage conditions: Store in a dry, protected from light, inaccessible to children place, at a temperature not exceeding 25C. Shelf life: Valid for 3 years. Do not use after the expiry date.
