What is it?
Amlodipine Biogaran Capsule 10mg Active ingredient: Amlodipine - 10 mg Indication: Amlodipine Biogaran is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) or certain types of chest pain called angina, including the rare variant form, Prinzmetal's angina. In patients with high blood pressure, this medication works by relaxing blood vessels, making it easier for blood to flow through them. In patients with angina, Amlodipine Biogaran improves blood supply to the heart muscle, which then receives more oxygen, preventing the onset of chest pain. This medication does not immediately relieve chest pain caused by angina. Dosage: The recommended starting dose of Amlodipine Biogaran is 5 mg once daily. This dose may be increased to 10 mg Amlodipine Biogaran once daily. Route of administration: Oral. This medication can be taken before or after food and drinks. It is best to take the medication at the same time every day with a glass of water. Do not take Amlodipine Biogaran with grapefruit juice. Use in children and adolescents: For children and adolescents (6 to 17 years old), the usual recommended starting dose is 2.5 mg daily. The maximum recommended dose is 5 mg daily. Amlodipine Biogaran 2.5 mg gelatin capsules are not currently available. It is very important to continue your treatment. Remember to consult your doctor before you run out of capsules. Pregnancy and lactation: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you think you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, consult your doctor for advice before taking this medication. Pregnancy: The safety of amlodipine in pregnant women has not been studied. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you think you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, inform your doctor before taking Amlodipine Biogaran. Lactation: Amlodipine has been found to pass into breast milk in small amounts. If you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed, inform your doctor before taking Amlodipine Biogaran. Driving and operating machinery: Amlodipine Biogaran may affect your ability to drive and operate machinery. If you experience dizziness, fatigue, or headache while taking the gelatin capsules, you should not drive or operate machinery and should seek immediate medical attention. Storage: Keep the medicine out of reach of children. Do not use the medicine after the expiry date indicated on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
