What is it?
Composition and Dosage Form: Oral capsules, each containing Amoxicillin Trihydrate 250 and 500 mg; dry powder for suspension preparation in 125 mg/5 ml and 250 mg/5 ml, in 60 and 100 ml bottles. Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Broad-spectrum semi-synthetic antibiotic from the penicillin group; Pharmacological Characteristics: Exhibits bactericidal action against both gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, has rapid absorption (independent of food intake) and rapid diffusion into almost all body tissues and fluids. Indications: Duramoxy is used for infectious-inflammatory diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug, such as: bronchitis, pneumonia, angina, pyelonephritis, urethritis, enterocolitis, gonorrhea, and others. Dosage and Administration: For adults and children over 10 years of age (over 40 kg body weight), the usual dose is 250-500 mg orally every 8 hours. For children aged 5-10 years, 125 mg every 8 hours. Children under 2 years of age are prescribed a daily dose of 20 mg/kg body weight. It is advisable to take the drug with food or milk to avoid gastrointestinal side effects. Treatment should continue for at least 2-3 days after the disappearance of infection symptoms. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to penicillins and cephalosporins. Special Instructions: Should be prescribed with caution to patients prone to allergic reactions, and also with caution during pregnancy. Side Effects: Allergic reactions, urticaria, erythema, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, rarely fever, joint pain, eosinophilia, very rarely anaphylactic shock. Storage Conditions: In a dry place at room temperature. Expiration Date: 3 years
