What is it?
Azithromycin Bene Pharm Capsule 250mg Composition: Each capsule contains: Active substance: Azithromycin (as dihydrate) – 250 mg. Excipients: Pregelatinized corn starch, sodium lauryl sulfate, magnesium stearate, lactose. Indications: Upper respiratory tract infections (bacterial pharyngitis/tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis); Lower respiratory tract infections (bacterial bronchitis, interstitial and alveolar pneumonia, acute chronic bronchitis); Skin and soft tissue infections (erythema migrans – early stage of Lyme disease, erysipelas, impetigo, secondary pyodermas); Acute sexually transmitted infections (urethritis, cervicitis); Gastric and duodenal diseases associated with H. pylori. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to macrolide antibiotics; Severe liver and kidney dysfunction. Side effects: Occur rarely (1% and less). Gastrointestinal system: Melena, cholestatic jaundice, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, decreased appetite, gastritis. Allergic reactions: Rash, photosensitization, Quincke's edema. Genitourinary system: Vaginal candidiasis, nephritis. Cardiovascular system: Chest pain. Nervous system: Dizziness, headache, drowsiness, in children – headache (during otitis treatment), hyperkinesia, neurosis, sleep disturbances. Other: Possible moderate increase in liver transaminase activity, easy fatigue, rash, conjunctivitis. In very rare cases, neutrophilia and eosinophilia. Altered parameters return to normal within 2-3 weeks after discontinuation of treatment. Consult your doctor if other side effects occur. Use with caution: During pregnancy and lactation, if the expected benefit outweighs the risk of adverse effects; In case of impaired liver and kidney function; In patients with arrhythmia and prolonged Q-T interval. Dosage and administration: Azithromycin Bene Pharm is taken once daily, 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals. For children from 6 months, suspension is recommended. For upper and lower respiratory tract, skin and soft tissue infections (except erythema migrans): Adults – 500 mg once daily for 3 days. Children – 10mg/kg once daily for 3 days. For gastric and duodenal diseases associated with Helicobacter pylori: 1g (2 capsules of 500 mg) once daily for 3 days. For uncomplicated sexually transmitted infections (urethritis, cervicitis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis) – 1 gram per day, with a 7-day interval (1-7-14). Total dose 3g. Storage conditions: Store in a dry place, inaccessible to children, at a temperature of 15 – 25 C. Prepared suspension should be stored in the refrigerator. Prepared suspension is stable for 5 days.
