It is active against Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, Microsporum canis, Candida albicans, Malassezia furfur (Pityrosporum orbiculare). Gentamicin Sulfate is a water-soluble, broad-spectrum, bactericidal antibiotic of the aminoglycoside group. It actively penetrates the bacterial cell membrane, irreversibly binds to ribosomes, and inhibits the synthesis of pathogen protein. It is active against both Gram-negative bacteria (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, E. coli, Aerobacter aerogenes, Klebsiella spp., Proteus vulgaris) and Gram-positive bacteria: Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp. Iodoquinol has antibacterial, antiseptic, and antifungal action.
