Pregnancy and Breastfeeding If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Avoid using the preparation during pregnancy unless your doctor decides it is absolutely necessary. How to Take Citicoline This preparation should always be taken according to your doctor's instructions. If you are in doubt about this, consult your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse. Your doctor will determine the dose and method of administration based on your health condition. The recommended dose is 100-500 mg once or twice a day, or 1000 mg once a day.
