What is it?

Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid Complex 30 Capsules Solgar - Solgar Composition: Type II Bio-Cell Collagen - 1200mg, from which: Type II Hydrolyzed Collagen - 720mg Chondroitin Sulfate - 192mg Hyaluronic Acid - 120mg Vitamin C (Calcium Ascorbate) - 100mg Sodium - 20mg What is Hyaluronic Acid? Hyaluronic acid is the most hydrophilic molecule in the body. It retains water, transforms it into a viscous (gel-like) consistency, and provides the most effective "natural hydration." Hyaluronic acid consists of several thousand polysaccharides, glucuronic acid, and N-acetylglucosamine and is present in almost all cells of the human body. Its highest concentration is found in connective tissue, joints (cartilage and synovial fluid), eyes, and skin. Why Bio-Cell Collagen? Bio-Cell Collagen is obtained through hydrolysis, which reduces molecular weight and ensures rapid and effective absorption by the body! • Easily absorbed compared to high molecular weight collagen • Contains chondroitin sulfate, which promotes connective tissue synthesis • Reduces pain, stiffness, and improves joint mobility • Restores the structure of degenerated joints and improves their function • Increases hyaluronic acid concentration in the blood by 60 times Hyaluronic Acid and Skin The skin is the largest organ of the body, accounting for 15% of total body mass. 50% of the hyaluronic acid in the body is found in the skin. The presence of hyaluronic acid and collagen in the skin is very important for maintaining its structure. Collagen gives the skin firmness, while hyaluronic acid ensures its hydration and moisture. It stimulates fibroblast proliferation during wound healing. As we age, the skin undergoes changes due to photoaging. This primarily affects the face and upper extremities, which are least protected. Signs of photoaging include skin dryness, deep wrinkles, pigmentation, and elastosis. The process of photoaging is further aggravated by exposure to ultraviolet rays, which disrupt the collagen matrix and cause the skin to lose elasticity. Vitamin C in the complex activates the enzymatic system involved in the synthesis of the skin's collagen matrix and ensures its firmness. Hyaluronic Acid's Action in Bone and Joint Diseases With age, joints undergo changes (wear and tear) due to daily movement, running, and stress. Synovial fluid and cartilage protect the joint from damage by reducing friction. Hyaluronic acid is found in the highest concentration in synovial fluid. It retains water in the synovial fluid, thus having a lubricating and cushioning effect, forming a protective layer that shields joint cartilage and the synovial membrane from mechanical damage and the effects of free radicals that cause inflammation. It maintains joint firmness, elasticity, and ensures its painless movement. Hyaluronic acid also aids in the synthesis of proteoglycans, which, along with collagen, form the structure of cartilage (extracellular matrix). Hyaluronic acid's action is based on a "trigger mechanism" that stimulates the joint to synthesize endogenous hyaluronan, leading to the restoration of joint homeostasis, which is maintained for several months. Hydrolyzed collagen promotes the synthesis of chondrocytes and proteoglycans in the joint, which form the extracellular matrix of cartilage and protect the joint from damage. It contains up to 20 amino acids. It helps the tissue restore integrity and perfect its structure. 6 hours after ingestion, its bioavailability is 90%. By stimulating chondrocytes, it increases osteoblasts and reduces osteoclasts. Studies have proven that taking 10mg of hydrolyzed collagen daily significantly reduces pain in osteoarthritis. Chondroitin sulfate is an important component of cartilage, which is a complex of glycosaminoglycans. It participates in the construction of cartilaginous tissue, stimulates the synthesis of hyaluronan, proteoglycans, and type II collagen. It protects hyaluronan from enzymatic degradation by inhibiting hyaluronidase activity, prevents the destruction of joint cartilage, and ensures the firmness, stability, flexibility, and elasticity of cartilaginous tissue. It accelerates the regeneration of cartilaginous and bone tissue. It reduces inflammatory activity and pain syndrome. Vitamin C participates in the regeneration of connective tissue. It activates the enzymatic system involved in the synthesis and stabilization of the joint's collagen matrix. Usage (in complex therapy): Bone and Joint Diseases • Synovitis • Osteoarthritis of various localizations • Intervertebral osteochondrotic spondyloarthrosis • Chondromalacia • Shoulder periarthritis • Post-traumatic period of ligaments and tendons • Post-operative period for joint surgery • Individuals with intense physical exertion and athletes • Prevention of degenerative-dystrophic joint processes after age 40 • Early wear and tear of the spine and joints • Weakness of the ligamentous apparatus and tendons • Dryness and reduced elasticity Dermatology • Photoaging: skin dryness, reduced skin density and elasticity, deep wrinkles and their prevention, pigment spots, elastosis • Post-acne hyperpigmentation and scars • Factors negatively affecting the skin: stress and insomnia, nicotine and alcohol, solarium, unhealthy diet and prolonged diets, excessive and poor-quality cosmetics, meteorological factors Dosage: Take 1 tablet daily, preferably with food.
