What is it?
Composition: 1ml of the preparation contains: Active components: Dexamethasone 1mg. Excipients: Sodium chloride, Disodium edetate dihydrate, Benzalkonium chloride, Citric acid monohydrate, Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, Disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, Polysorbate 80, Distilled water. Indications: Acute and chronic inflammatory processes: non-purulent forms of conjunctivitis, keratitis, keratoconjunctivitis, and blepharitis. Scleritis and episcleritis; iritis, iridocyclitis, and uveitis of various origins. Superficial corneal injuries of various etiologies (chemical, physical, or immune mechanisms), after complete epithelialization of the cornea. Inflammation of the posterior segment of the eye (choroiditis, chorioretinitis); sympathetic ophthalmia. Allergic diseases of the eye: allergic lesions of the eyelids, conjunctivitis (vernal conjunctivitis), allergic keratoconjunctivitis. Prevention and treatment of inflammatory events in the postoperative and post-traumatic periods. Contraindications: Keratitis caused by Varicella zoster, viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctivitis; mycobacterial infections of the eye; fungal diseases of the eye; acute purulent diseases of the eye; corneal epitheliopathy; increased intraocular pressure; hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Dosage regimen: In acute inflammatory processes, the preparation is instilled into the conjunctival sac in a dose of 1-2 drops 4-5 times a day for 2 days; thereafter, the preparation is administered as follows: 1-2 drops 3-4 times a day for 4-6 days. In chronic inflammatory processes, the preparation is instilled twice a day for 3-6 weeks. The maximum duration of administration of the preparation is 6 weeks. In allergic diseases of the eye, the preparation is instilled into the conjunctival sac in a dose of 1-2 drops 4-5 times a day for 2 days, with gradual discontinuation over 1-2 weeks. In cases of pupil damage due to trauma or after anti-glaucoma filtering surgery, the preparation is used on the day of surgery or the following day. After cataract extraction surgery, strabismus surgery, retinal detachment surgery, as well as after trauma, the use of the preparation begins on the 8th day. Depending on the severity of inflammation, the preparation is instilled in a dose of 1-2 drops 2-4 times a day for 2-4 weeks. For children aged 6 to 12 years, in case of allergic and inflammatory conditions, 1 drop is instilled 2-3 times a day for 7-10 days. If necessary, treatment is continued on the 10th day after a fluorescein test (to check the integrity of the corneal epithelium). The preparation should be shaken before use.
