What is it?
Composition: Active substance is desloratadine 0.5mg/ml. Excipients: sorbitol, propylene glycol, sucralose E955, hypromellose 2910, sodium citrate, anhydrous citric acid, tutti-frutti flavor (mixture of flavoring substances and propylene glycol), disodium edetate, purified water. Desalergan oral solution's active substance is desloratadine. It is a non-drowsy antihistamine that controls allergic reactions and their symptoms. Indications: For allergic rhinitis (inflammation of nasal passages caused by allergies, such as hay fever or house dust allergy) to relieve symptoms of sneezing and itching, runny nose, itchy palate, red eyes or watery eyes; for urticaria (skin condition caused by allergy, accompanied by itching, rash, and redness). Desloratadine has a long-lasting effect that lasts throughout the day, which helps the patient with normal daily activities and sleep. The medication is intended for children aged 1-11 years, adolescents (12 years and older), and adults, including elderly patients. Contraindications: If the patient is allergic to desloratadine or any other ingredient of the medication or to loratadine. Pregnancy and lactation: During pregnancy or lactation, if there is a possibility of becoming pregnant or planning pregnancy, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Dosage and administration: Always take the medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist. If the patient is unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Recommended doses for adults and adolescents (12 years and older): 10ml oral solution once daily. Use in children: Recommended dose is: Children aged 1-5 years - 2.5ml oral solution once daily. Children aged 6-11 years - 5ml oral solution once daily. Method of administration and duration of treatment: The medication can be taken with or without food.
