What is it?

Excipients: DL-Pantolactone, Phenoxyethanol, Amphisol K, Cetyl alcohol, Stearyl alcohol, Lanolin (E913), Isopropyl myristate, Propylene glycol (E1520), Purified water. Pharmacological properties Dexpanthenol is an analogue of pantothenic alcohol and has the same biological activity. Dexpanthenol rapidly penetrates cells and is converted to pantothenic acid, which has the same effect as vitamin B5. Pantothenic acid and its salts are water-soluble vitamins that are part of acetyl-CoA and play a major role in numerous metabolic processes. Thus, dexpanthenol can meet the body's high demand for pantothenic acid, which is essential for the formation and regeneration of skin and mucous membranes. Most of it is excreted from the body unchanged in urine and feces. Indications for use Treatment of dry and irritated intact skin: hyperemia, minor burns (sun and household), treatment of dry skin areas (e.g., hands, elbows, knees, etc.). Prophylactic treatment of dry, reddened skin. For rapid healing and epithelialization of micro-injuries (cracks, abrasions), skin irritation during radio-, phototherapy or UV radiation. Skin treatment after corticosteroid use. Method of administration and dosage The cream should be applied in a thin layer to the affected skin areas several times a day. The duration of treatment depends on the nature and course of the disease. Side effects The side effects listed below are based on spontaneous reports. It is not possible to determine their exact frequency of occurrence. Immune system, skin and subcutaneous tissue: Allergic reactions, including skin - contact dermatitis, allergic dermatitis, itching, erythema, eczema, rash, urticaria, skin irritation, vesicular rash. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Overdose Dexpanthenol is well tolerated even at high doses and is considered non-toxic. Precautions Lanolin, stearyl alcohol and cetyl alcohol, propylene glycol may cause skin irritation (e.g., contact dermatitis). Avoid contact of the cream with eyes. Interactions with other medicinal products No interactions with other drugs are known. Pregnancy and lactation There are no restrictions on the use of the cream during pregnancy and lactation. Storage conditions Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, out of reach of children. Shelf life 3 years. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
