What is it?
Composition: 1 tablet contains 10 mg of escitalopram as an active substance. Pharmacotherapeutic group: Antidepressants, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Indications: Depressive episodes of any severity, major depressive disorder, panic disorder with or without agoraphobia, social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorders. Dosage and administration: The preparation is taken once a day, at any time of the day, independently of meals. Its safety has not been established for daily doses exceeding 20 mg. Major depressive disorder: 10 mg once daily, the daily dose may be increased to 20 mg according to the patient's individual needs and the severity of depression. The antidepressant effect is achieved in 2-4 weeks. Duration of treatment is more than 6 months. Anxiety disorder with and without agoraphobia: Treatment starts with 5 mg per day for the first week and is usually increased to 10 mg per day. Later, the daily dose may be increased to 20 mg per day according to the patient's individual needs. Maximum effect is achieved in 3 months. Treatment lasts for several months. Social anxiety disorder: 10 mg per day. Depending on the patient's individual needs, the dose may be reduced to 5 mg or increased to the maximum recommended 20 mg. It is recommended to assess the patient's condition after 12 weeks of treatment. For relapse prophylaxis, it is used for 6 months or more. Generalized anxiety disorder: 10 mg per day. The dose may be increased to a maximum of 20 mg. Treatment is long-term. Obsessive-compulsive disorder: The initial dose is 10 mg once daily. The dose may be increased to a maximum of 20 mg per day. Elderly patients: At the initial stage of treatment, half of the recommended dose is prescribed, and for maintenance therapy - the lowest maximum dose. Children and adolescents: The use of the preparation in children is not recommended. Renal insufficiency: Dose adjustment is not necessary in mild and moderate renal insufficiency. Dose correction is required in severe renal insufficiency and liver dysfunction. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to escitalopram or any other ingredient. The preparation is contraindicated for use with monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors. Pregnancy and lactation: The use of the preparation during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended unless the clinical benefit outweighs the potential risk. Storage conditions: The preparation is stored at room temperature, not exceeding 25C. Pharmacy dispensing conditions: By prescription.
