Pharmacological properties Dermatological preparation for external use. It has a strong anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, and antipruritic effect. Flucinara's action is stronger than hydrocortisone's. Indications - Acute and severe inflammatory conditions of allergic origin, which are unresponsive to other steroid agents; - Chronic psoriasis; - Disseminated lupus erythematosus; - Erythema multiforme; - Lichen planus with accompanying severe itching, or localized on the nail; - Eczema with lichenification; - Seborrheic dermatitis. Dosage and administration The preparation is administered topically, its frequency and method of use are determined by the doctor. Usually prescribed: a compress soaked with ointment is applied to the affected skin areas, or a thin layer of ointment is applied directly to the skin. The preparation is administered 2-3 times a day. For psoriasis, an occlusive dressing is used, which adheres tightly to the skin surface. The effectiveness of the treatment depends on the results obtained. The use of the preparation is allowed for no more than 3-4 weeks. Side effects Prolonged use of the preparation suppresses epidermal growth, causes atrophy of subcutaneous tissue, and the appearance of stretch marks. The following symptoms may occur: skin hyperemia, hyperkeratosis, delayed wound healing, skin bruising. In case of development of these events, it is necessary to inform the doctor. Treatment with the preparation is discontinued in case of acute skin irritation. Contraindications Bacterial, fungal, and viral skin diseases, skin tumors, or precancerous conditions, rosacea and acne vulgaris, hypersensitivity to the preparation in the anamnesis. Pregnancy and lactation It is not recommended to use the preparation in pregnant women, especially for a long time and on large areas of skin. Special instructions Prolonged use of the preparation on facial skin is not allowed, as allergic reactions may develop. The preparation is prescribed with caution in patients with glaucoma and cataracts. Flucinara ointment is prescribed for children only in exceptional cases, with caution, for a short period of time.
