What is it?
Name - Nurofen - Nurofen Express 200mg Description Oval capsules, with a red semi-transparent gelatin shell, with a white identifying inscription - "NUROFEN", containing a clear liquid from colorless to pale pink. Pharmacotherapeutic group: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Pharmacological properties Pharmacodynamics: Ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent from the propionic acid derivative group (NSAID), acts by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins - mediators of pain, inflammation, and hyperthermic reactions. It non-selectively blocks cyclooxygenase 1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2), thereby inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. It has a rapid targeted analgesic (pain-relieving), antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory effect. In addition, ibuprofen reversibly inhibits platelet aggregation. Indications Nurofen® Express is used for headache, migraine, toothache, painful menstruation, neuralgia, back pain, muscle and rheumatic pain; for fever in case of flu and colds. Contraindications • Hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or any of the excipients. • Complete or incomplete combination of bronchial asthma, recurrent nasal and paranasal polyposis, and intolerance to acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (including in history). • Erosive and ulcerative diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (including peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis) or active ulcerative bleeding or in history (two or more confirmed episodes of ulcerative disease or ulcerative bleeding). • History of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation provoked by the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). • Severe heart failure (NYHA class IV - New York Heart Association classification). • Severe liver failure or active liver disease. • Severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance < 30 ml/min), confirmed hyperkalemia. • Decompensated heart failure; post-operative period of coronary artery bypass grafting. Cerebrovascular or other bleeding. • Hemophilia and other blood clotting disorders (including hypocoagulation), hemorrhagic diathesis. • Fructose intolerance. • Pregnancy beyond 20 weeks. • Children under 12 years of age. Method of administration and dosage Read the instructions carefully before taking the medication. For oral administration. For short-term use only. Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 capsule (200 mg) orally, without chewing, 3-4 times a day. The capsule should be taken with water. The interval between doses should be 6-8 hours. For faster therapeutic effect in adults, the single dose can be increased to 2 capsules (400 mg) 3 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 1200 mg. The maximum daily dose for children aged 12-17 years is 1000 mg. If symptoms persist or worsen after 2-3 days of taking the medication, it is necessary to stop treatment and consult a doctor.
