What is it?
Composition: Each tablet contains: Ketorolac Tromethamine - 10 mg; Pharmacotherapeutic group: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Indications: Indicated for short-term management of moderate post-operative pain. Maximum duration of treatment is 7 days. Dosage and administration: For oral administration. Dosage regimen is determined individually, depending on the pain syndrome. For adults aged 16-64 years weighing over 50 kg, usually 1 tablet is prescribed 3-4 times a day. For adults weighing less than 50 kg or with impaired renal function, the drug is prescribed 1-2 times a day. Maximum daily dose is 4 tablets. Duration of treatment not more than 7 days. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to ketorolac or any component of the preparation. Bronchial asthma, rhinitis, angioedema or urticaria caused by acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory pyrazolone derivatives, severe heart failure, inflammatory bowel diseases. Not to be used in patients who have undergone surgery with a high risk of bruising or incomplete cessation of bleeding, and in patients taking anticoagulants, including low-dose heparin. Moderate and severe liver or kidney failure. Suspected or confirmed cerebral hemorrhage, hemorrhagic diathesis including blood coagulation disorders and high risk of bleeding. Treatment with warfarin, pentoxifylline, probenecid or lithium salts. Reduced circulating fluid volume. Pregnancy, labor, delivery and breastfeeding period. Children under 1 year of age. Administer with caution in the following conditions: Hypersensitivity to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; bronchial asthma, presence of factors that increase the gastrointestinal toxicity of the drug: alcoholism, smoking and cholecystitis; post-operative period, chronic heart failure, edema syndrome, arterial hypertension, impaired renal function, cholestasis, active hepatitis, sepsis, systemic lupus erythematosus, concomitant administration with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, elderly patients are more likely to develop side reactions, therefore, in this category of patients, it is recommended to prescribe doses at the lower limit of the therapeutic range.
