What is it?
Composition Each gram of ointment contains 0.5 mg Clobetasol Propionate. Indications: Clobetasol Atb belongs to the group of topical corticosteroids. Topical corticosteroids reduce redness and itching that occur with certain skin conditions. Clobetasol Atb reduces the effects of inflammation in skin conditions such as eczema that does not respond to other treatments, psoriasis (excluding generalized pustular psoriasis), lichen planus, and discoid lupus erythematosus. Dosage: Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Apply a thin layer of Clobetasol Atb to the affected area once or twice daily and rub gently until it is completely absorbed. Wash your hands before and after each application. Use Clobetasol Atb for short periods. If there is no improvement in symptoms within 2-4 weeks, the diagnosis may need to be reviewed. Do not exceed the maximum dose of 50 g per week. Do not continue treatment with Clobetasol for more than 4 weeks in adults and adolescents and 5 days in children. Stop using Clobetasol gradually. If used on the face, treatment with Clobetasol is limited to 5 days. Children Do not use Clobetasol in children under 1 year of age. Treatment of children aged 1 to 12 years should be carried out under strict medical supervision, with reassessment every week. Contraindications: - Allergy to Clobetasol Propionate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in the composition); - Acne vulgaris or acne rosacea (severe redness of the skin on and around the nose) or perioral dermatitis (blotchy red rash around the mouth); - Itching around the anus or genitals; the medicine should not be used in the perianal or genital areas; - Untreated primary viral skin infections (e.g. herpes simplex, chickenpox), primarily infected skin lesions caused by fungi (e.g. candidiasis, tinea) or bacteria (e.g. impetigo), ulcerative lesions; - In children under 1 year of age or in children with diaper dermatitis. Pregnancy and lactation If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine. The safety of this medicine in pregnant or breastfeeding women has not been established. Storage conditions: Keep the medicine out of the reach of children. Store in the original packaging at a temperature below 25°C. Store for a maximum of 12 weeks after opening the tube.
