What is it?
Active Ingredient: Clotrimazole Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Antifungal preparation for external use. Composition and Dosage Form: Solution for external use 1%: 15 ml bottle 1 ml 1 bottle Clotrimazole .................... 10 mg 150 mg Excipients: Isopropyl myristate, anhydrous ethanol up to 100 ml. Pharmacological Properties: Clotrimazole is an imidazole group antifungal agent for external use. In small doses, the preparation exhibits fungistatic action (Epidermophyton spp., Trichophyton spp., Microsporum spp.). Yeast-like fungi, mold fungi, dimorphic fungi are sensitive to it. In high concentrations, the preparation exhibits fungicidal and weakly expressed antibacterial action. Absorption from the skin does not exceed 1%. From mucous membranes - 3%. Indications: Candidiasis of the oral mucosa; Onychomycosis; Dermatomycoses of the head, body, groin area, palms, and soles; Tinea; Pityriasis versicolor and erythrasma. Dosage and Administration: A few drops of the preparation are rubbed into the affected skin area 2-3 times a day. After the acute symptoms disappear, treatment is continued for 4 weeks. Side Effects: Rarely allergic reactions: burning, itching, skin irritation, peeling of the epidermis. Contraindications: * Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. The use of the preparation in the eye area is not allowed. Special Instructions: * In children under 11 years of age, the preparation is used after consulting a doctor. * The use of the preparation in the first trimester of pregnancy is not recommended. It is prescribed with caution during lactation. Overdose: Overdose is unlikely due to the low absorption capacity of the preparation. Interaction with Other Drugs: Simultaneous use with other external antifungal agents, as well as with dexamethasone, reduces the effect of the preparation. Storage Conditions: The preparation should be stored at a temperature of 15-25C, in a dry, dark place, protected from children.
