What is it?
International Name - lansoprazole Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Gastroenterology, Hepatology → Anti-ulcer agents Pharmacological Properties It is a remedy for gastric ulcer disease. It blocks the final stage of hydrochloric acid formation. In the parietal cells of the stomach, it is converted into an active form – sulfonamide. It reduces basal and stimulated (food, pentagastrin, insulin) secretion and secretion volume. The rate of inhibition of hydrochloric acid secretion depends on the dose. It has a gastroprotective effect: strengthening mucosal oxygenation and bicarbonate secretion. It suppresses the growth of Helicobacter pylori, reduces blood circulation in the antral part of the stomach, and suppresses the motor-evacuatory function of the stomach. Indications Non-ulcer dyspepsia, gastric and duodenal ulcer disease, erosive-ulcerative esophagitis, reflux esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, Helicobacter pylori infection (combined treatment). Dosage and Administration Orally in the morning. Non-ulcer dyspepsia: 15-30 mg/day. Duodenal ulcer: 30 mg/day for 2-4 weeks.
