What is Linx Baby and what is it used for. Pharmacotherapeutic group: Anti-diarrheal microorganisms. Linx Baby is a probiotic containing selected bifidobacteria that establish and maintain the balance and function of intestinal microflora in children. Bifidobacteria are part of the normal microflora of the small and large intestines, where they maintain the acid-base balance necessary for the normal functioning of digestive enzymes (digestion), the immune system, and peristalsis. They also resist the excessive growth of pathogenic bacteria. The microflora of breastfed newborns mainly consists of bifidobacteria; they are considered to play an important role in early infancy. Regular intake of bifidobacteria effectively reduces the frequency and severity of mild to moderate digestive disorders (especially diarrhea) caused by disruption of normal intestinal microflora and maintains regular gastrointestinal emptying. The bifidobacteria in Linx Baby are lyophilized (dried at low temperature), which allows the product to be stored at room temperature without changing the form and activity of the bacteria. Linx Baby can be used in children from birth to 12 years of age: • To establish and maintain the balance and function of intestinal microflora; • For the prevention and maintenance treatment of diarrhea, flatulence, and other digestive disorders, if they are caused by: - Viral and bacterial gastrointestinal infections (e.g., rotavirus); - Use of medicinal products for infection treatment (antibiotics and other synthetic antimicrobial agents). Contraindications • If the child is allergic (hypersensitive) to the active or excipients of the preparation. Special instructions and precautions Consult a doctor before use if the child: • Has a body temperature exceeding 380 C; • Has blood or mucus in the stool; • Diarrhea lasts longer than two days; • Severe diarrhea with dehydration and weight loss; • Diarrhea accompanied by severe abdominal pain; • Diarrhea on the background of other chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular diseases) or immunodeficiency (e.g., AIDS infections). It is very important to restore fluid and electrolytes during the treatment of any diarrhea. Other medicines Like other bacteria, bifidobacteria are sensitive to antibiotics. Therefore, it is recommended to take the preparation no earlier than 3 hours after taking antibiotics. 3.
