What is it?

International Nonproprietary Name - bifidobacterium infantis, lactobacillus acidophilus, enterococcus faecium Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Gastroenterology, Hepatology → Intestinal Microflora Balance Regulators Composition One capsule contains at least 1.2 x 107 live lyophilized bacteria Bifidobacterium infantis Lactobacillus acidophilus (sp. L. gasseri) and Enterococcus faecium resistant to antibiotics and chemotherapeutic agents. Excipients: Potato starch, lactose, magnesium stearate. Capsule shell: Gelatin, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218) and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 216), titanium dioxide (E 171). Action The lactic acid bacteria included in Linex maintain and regulate the physiological balance of the gastrointestinal microflora. Contraindications Do not take the preparation if you have hypersensitivity (allergy) to any component of the preparation or to dairy products. Precautions Consult your doctor before taking Linex capsules in the following cases: • Body temperature above 38°C, • Presence of occult blood or mucus in stool, • Diarrhea lasting more than two days, • Severe diarrhea accompanied by dehydration and weight loss, • Severe diarrhea accompanied by severe abdominal pain, • Other chronic diseases (diabetes) or immunological insufficiency (AIDS, HIV). Contraindicated for children under 3 years of age without medical supervision. During diarrhea treatment, it is necessary to compensate for water and electrolyte losses. Indications The preparation Linex is recommended for the treatment and prevention of imbalance of the gastrointestinal microflora - dysbacteriosis. Dysbacteriosis is characterized by the following symptoms and signs, such as: diarrhea, other digestive disorders (dyspepsia), constipation, meteorism (excess gas in the gastrointestinal tract), nausea, vomiting, heartburn, abdominal pain, and allergic rash. Dosage and Administration Infants and children up to 2 years of age: 1 capsule three times a day, after meals, with a small amount of liquid; Children from 2 to 12 years of age: 1 or 2 capsules three times a day, after meals, with a small amount of liquid; If the child cannot swallow the whole capsule, it must be opened and the contents mixed with a small amount of liquid (tea, juice, sugar water). Adults and children over 12 years of age: Recommended dose is 2 capsules three times a day, after meals with a small amount of liquid. The duration of treatment depends on the cause of dysbacteriosis development and individual characteristics of the organism. Adverse Effects The preparation is well tolerated, no reports of adverse effects exist. Warning Do not take the preparation with hot drinks and do not take it simultaneously with alcohol. If the preparation does not improve your condition within two days, you must consult a doctor. Interactions with Other Medicines No undesirable interactions of Linex with other drugs have been noted. The composition of the preparation Linex allows it to be taken simultaneously with antibiotics and chemotherapeutic agents.
