What is it?
Lincomycin IM IV Solution for Injection 30% 1ml Ampoule Composition: 1 ampoule of 1 ml contains: Active ingredients: Lincomycin hydrochloride, calculated as 100% lincomycin - 300 mg; Excipients: Disodium edetate; Benzyl alcohol, water for injection. Indications for use: Lincomycin hydrochloride is used for the treatment of purulent-inflammatory diseases caused by Gram-positive bacteria sensitive to its action, especially for the treatment of severe diseases caused by the indicated microorganisms that are resistant to the action of other antibiotics. Lincomycin hydrochloride is prescribed for acute and chronic osteomyelitis, staphylococcal and streptococcal septicemia, pneumonia (especially staphylococcal), purulent infections of the skin and soft tissues, erysipelas, purulent pleurisy, septic complications after surgery on blood vessels and heart, otitis media, septic endocarditis, arthritis, and as an additional therapeutic agent in the treatment of diphtheria. Dosage and administration: Lincomycin is administered by intramuscular and intravenous injection. For adults: For adults - 600 mg intramuscularly 1-2 times a day. Intravenously by drip infusion, 600 mg is administered in 250 ml of isotonic sodium chloride or glucose solution 2-3 times a day (infusion duration is at least one hour). For children: For children, intravenously by drip infusion (at a rate of 60-80 drops/min), administered at a dose of 10-20 mg/kg every 8-12 hours. The daily dose of lincomycin for children when administered is 15-30 mg/kg and is given twice at 12-hour intervals. The duration of treatment is determined by the clinical course of the disease and is usually 7-14 days. In case of impaired renal function, lincomycin is administered at a dose of 25-30% of the usual dose (the daily dose should not exceed 1.8 g). Contraindications: Pregnancy (except when necessary according to vital signs); the drug is used with caution in reduced doses in cases of severe liver or kidney disorders. Lincomycin should not be used in myasthenia gravis. The drug should not be prescribed during lactation (it crosses the placenta and is excreted in breast milk), in children under 1 month of age. Storage conditions: Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 30 C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
