What is it?
Clinical-pharmacological group: Hepatoprotective agent Dosage form: Tablets: 100 pcs. per pack Herbal combined preparation Pharmacological action: Combined preparation of herbal origin. It has antioxidant and membrane-stabilizing effects. It reduces the degradation of the cell membrane caused by nicotinamide dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH)-dependent lipid peroxidation, increases the concentration of tocopherol (antioxidant) in hepatocytes, and prevents the formation of radical derivatives. It normalizes the protein-synthetic function of the liver, stimulates the regeneration of liver cells; it has a choleretic effect, enhances the rate of acetaldehyde elimination, and reduces the toxic effects of ethanol and other hepatotoxic substances; it improves digestion and has an anti-inflammatory effect. Indications: Hepatitis (acute and chronic infectious, toxic, drug-induced); liver cirrhosis, fatty hepatosis. Decreased appetite and anorexia (hypotrophy and growth retardation in children; exhaustion after surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy). Prevention of hepatotoxicity (including against the background of taking antibiotics, antitubercular, and antipyretic drugs). Dosage and administration: Oral. Tablets for adults – 2–3 tablets 2–3 times a day, children over 6 years old – 1–2 tablets 2–3 times a day; for prophylactic purposes – 2 tablets 2 times a day. Drops: Adults – 80–160 drops (1–2 teaspoons) 2 times a day, children over 2 years old – 10–20 drops 2 times a day. Contraindications: * Hypersensitivity; * pregnancy, lactation. * Childhood (up to 6 years – for tablets, up to 2 years – for drops). With caution: Inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Side effects: Allergic reactions, dyspepsia.
