What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - Meloxicamum Composition: Each ampoule contains 15mg of the active substance Meloxicam. Indication: The injectable form of Meloxicam is used for symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Dosage: The recommended daily dose for Meloxicam ampoule is 15 mg (1 ampoule). Considering side effects, the recommended dose is 7.5 mg. For patients with severe renal insufficiency on dialysis, the daily dose should not exceed 7.5 mg. Meloxicam ampoule should be used for 2 or 3 days and, if necessary, the patient should be switched to oral forms. Meloxicam ampoule should only be used for individuals over 18 years of age. Contraindication: Hypersensitivity to the preparation or other components in its composition. Cross-reactions to acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; history of bronchial asthma, nasal mucous membrane polyposis, angioneurotic edema, urticaria, active peptic ulcer. Side Effects: The side effects listed below apply to patients who received Meloxicam 15mg daily for 6 months: Gastrointestinal: abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhea, dyspepsia, flatulence, nausea, vomiting. General body: edema, pain. Nervous system: dizziness, headache. Hematological: anemia. Musculoskeletal system: arthralgia, back pain. Psychiatric: disturbed sleep pattern. Respiratory system: cough, upper respiratory tract infections. Skin. Urinary system: increased urination, infections.
