What is it?
Each MELOXICAM tablet contains 15 mg of the active substance MELOXICAM. The tablet also contains: corn starch, pregelatinized starch, colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium citrate, lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, and magnesium stearate. MELOXICAM belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs reduce inflammation and pain in joints and muscles. MELOXICAM is used for short-term treatment of acute exacerbations of osteoarthritis and for long-term treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. Dosage: The medication is prescribed by a doctor only for the patient and must be taken as directed by the doctor. Always read the label. If the patient does not understand the instructions or is unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist. • It should be taken during or after a meal; • MELOXICAM tablets are for oral use; • The usual dosage, depending on the patient's condition, is 7.5 mg or 15 mg per day with water or liquid during a meal; • If the patient needs to take two tablets, they should be taken together as a single dose; • If there is no improvement in the condition after a few days, consult your doctor. MELOXICAM is not recommended for children under 15 years of age. Storage: Keep out of reach of children. Store at no more than 25C. Do not take the preparation after the expiry date indicated on the packaging. All unused medications should be returned to the pharmacist for safe disposal.
