What is it?
General characteristics: International and chemical name: Metamizol sodium; [(1,5-dimethyl-3-oxo-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-N-methylamino] sodium methanesulfonate, monohydrate; Main physical-chemical properties: White or white with a yellowish tint tablets, with a flat surface, a bevel and a score line; Content: 1 tablet contains 0.5 g of metamizole sodium (analgin), calculated on an anhydrous substance; Excipients: Talc, calcium stearate, potato starch. Dosage form. Tablets. Pharmacotherapeutic group. Analgesics and antipyretics. Pyrazolones. ATC code N02B B02. Indications for use. Feverish syndrome. Pain syndrome of weak and moderate intensity of various origins: headache, neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia, hepatic colic, renal colic, intestinal colic, injuries, burns, decompression sickness, orchitis, radiculitis, myositis, toothache, algomenorrhea. Method of administration and dosage. In adults, the drug is used after meals 0.25-0.5 g 2-3 times a day. In children, the drug is prescribed 2-3 times a day. Single doses for children aged 3-6 years – 125-250 mg, 6-10 years – 250-375 mg, 10-14 years – 375-500 mg. Maximum doses for adults: single – 1 g, daily – 3 g. The possible average duration of the treatment course is up to 5 days. Contraindications. Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Changes in peripheral blood count: agranulocytosis, leukopenia. Blood diseases: anemia of any etiology, cytostatic or infectious neutropenia. Pregnancy, especially in the I trimester and the last 6 weeks of pregnancy. Lactation period. Children under 3 years of age. Marked changes in liver and kidney function (porphyric metabolism). Congenital deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase. Storage conditions and shelf life. Store in a place inaccessible to children, in the original packaging, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C
