International Name - glycerol Clinical-pharmacological group: Gastroenterology, Hepatology → Laxatives → Intestinal peristalsis stimulants Composition Each Children's micro-enema contains: Glycerin 2.25 g; Chamomile liquid extract 0.10 g; Balm liquid extract 0.10 g; Starch 0.02 g; Distilled water. Each Adult micro-enema contains: Glycerin 6.75 g; Chamomile liquid extract 0.30 g; Balm liquid extract 0.30 g; Starch 0.06 g; Distilled water. Indications Short-term treatment of constipation with rapid and painless cleansing of the gastrointestinal tract. Dosage and Administration Rectal administration 1-2 micro-enemas per 24 hours. Do not use more than two micro-enemas per administration, do not exceed the recommended dose. Dosage can be adjusted according to age and symptoms. Side Effects Side effects are mainly due to the dehydrating effect of glycerin. Rectal administration may cause irritation. Inform your doctor about any side effects during the use of the preparation. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to active ingredients and composition. The preparations are contraindicated in patients with acute or unexplained abdominal pain, nausea, gastrointestinal obstructive vomiting or stenosis. In patients with rectal bleeding of unknown origin, or increased dehydration. Enemas should be avoided in patients suffering from acute painful bleeding hemorrhoids. Special Instructions Consult your doctor in case of difficult-to-treat constipation. Overdose Side effects may be caused by exceeding the micro-enema dose. In case of overdose, therapeutic assistance should be provided to alleviate side effects. Take immediate measures to prevent absorption of the preparation and immediately expel the medicine from the body.
