What is it?
Composition: Nimesulide Indications: Nimesulide Bene is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic properties. It is used to treat acute pain and menstrual pain. Before prescribing Nimesulide Bene, the doctor will assess the potential benefits of the medication against the risk of developing side effects. Dosage and Administration: Nimesulide Bene should always be used exactly as instructed by your doctor. To minimize side effects, the effective dose should be used for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms. The recommended dose is one 100 mg tablet or one 100 mg sachet to prepare an oral suspension, twice daily after meals. Nimesulide Bene should be used for the shortest possible duration and for no more than 15 days during each treatment course. Contraindications: • If the patient is hypersensitive (allergic) to nimesulide or any other ingredient of Nimesulide Bene (see paragraph 6 at the end of the instructions for a list); • If the patient has a history of the following symptoms after taking aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): - Wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath (asthma) - Nasal congestion due to swelling of the nasal lining (nasal polyps) - Rash / itching (hives) - Sudden swelling of the skin or mucous membranes, such as swelling around the eyes, face, lips, mouth, or throat, which may cause difficulty breathing (angioedema). • If the patient has a history of reactions to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as: - Bleeding from the stomach or intestines - Stomach or intestinal ulcers (perforation) • If the patient has had stomach or duodenal ulcers or bleeding in the recent past, or has had them in the past (at least 2 episodes of ulcer or bleeding); • If the patient has had a brain hemorrhage (stroke); • If the patient has other bleeding problems or problems due to blood clotting disorders; • If the patient has liver failure; • If the patient is taking other medications that have a known effect on the liver, e.g., paracetamol or other painkillers, or other NSAIDs; • If the patient is taking drugs or is dependent on drugs or other substances; • If the patient regularly consumes alcohol; • If the patient has had a reaction to nimesulide in the past that affected the liver; • If the patient has kidney failure that does not require dialysis; • If the patient has severe heart failure; • If the patient has a fever or flu (body aches, feeling unwell, chills or shivering, or high temperature); • If the patient is in the last trimester of pregnancy; • If the patient is breastfeeding. Nimesulide Bene should not be given to children under 12 years of age. Pregnancy and Lactation: Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Nimesulide Bene or any other medication. Storage: Nimesulide Bene does not require special storage conditions.
