What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - Sodium chloride, sodium hydrocarbonate Clinical-pharmacological group: Otorhinolaryngology → Agents for rhinitis and sinusitis What does Nizita metered spray contain? 1 ml of isotonic solution contains 3.3 mg of sodium chloride and 8.3 mg of sodium bicarbonate. Other components: distilled water. When is Nizita metered spray used? Nizita metered spray produces an aerosol spray and is used for dryness of the nasal mucosa • Nasal congestion, e.g. for supportive therapy during a cold • Cleaning and moisturizing the nasal mucosa, e.g. during dry indoor air • To soften crusts and scabs. Nizita metered spray without preservatives is intended for adults, children and infants. How to use Nizita metered spray? As needed, several times daily for adults and children (from 2 years of age) 1-2 sprays in each nostril, for infants and small children (up to 2 years of age) 1 spray in each nostril. Usage: Remove the protective cap before use. Press the white nozzle (nasal part of the spray) several times until the first spray occurs. After this, the metered spray will be ready for each subsequent use. Insert the nozzle into one nostril and use the pump mechanism. (Figure 2). Keep the container upright and do not tilt your head back. Breathe in lightly through your nose during the spraying process. Finally, gradually release the pressed hand from the adapter. For hygiene reasons and to prevent infections, each dispenser should only be used by one person. After use, the dispenser should be rinsed, dried, and the cap replaced on the container. How long can Nizita metered spray be used? Nizita metered spray can be used for a long period as needed. If your condition does not improve after 14 days of treatment, consult your doctor or pharmacist. What undesirable side effects can Nizita metered spray have? No side effects are expected when used as directed. What else should be paid attention to? Nizita metered spray may only be used within the expiry date indicated on the packaging and container label. After opening, Nizita metered spray can be used for 6 weeks. Dryness of the nose This is a problem that occurs most often. It affects people of all ages and at any time of the year. In dry climates, crusts and scabs formed in the nose are not only annoying but can also be painful. The risk of infection is increased, and breathing, as well as the ability to perceive smell and taste, is impaired. This leads to a significant decrease in the quality of life. Possible causes of mucosal dryness: • Side effects of certain medications • Certain diseases, such as diabetes or rheumatic diseases, also cause mucosal dryness. • Rooms where heaters and air conditioners are used • Dust and other irritants • Age-related mucosal dryness.
