What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name (Active Substance): comb. drug Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Hematology → Antianemic Preparations → Iron Preparations Ornafer Composition: Iron gluconate - 300 mg Copper gluconate - 700 mcg Vitamin C - 80 mg Folic acid - 350 mcg Vitamin B12 - 15 mcg Ornafer Pharmacological Group: Anti-anemic preparation. Indications: • Iron deficiency anemia. • Folic acid deficiency, prevention of simultaneous iron and folic acid deficiency. • Vitamin B12 deficiency, prevention of simultaneous iron and vitamin B12 deficiency. • Prevention and treatment of iron and folic acid deficiency, pregnancy II and III trimester, postpartum and lactation period. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any component, hemolytic anemia, hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis, aplastic anemia, pregnancy I trimester. Side Effects: Nausea, vomiting, gastralgia, constipation and diarrhea. Dosage and Administration: Ornafer is taken orally 1 hour before meals, or 2 hours after meals, 1 tablet 2 times a day; in severe cases, 3 times a day. For prophylaxis – 1 tablet 1 time a day. During lactation – 1 tablet 1 time a day for the entire lactation period with a one-month interval. Treatment continues until normalization of HB content. For maintenance therapy, 1 tablet 1 time a day for 1-3 months. Use during pregnancy and lactation: The preparation can be used during pregnancy (II and III trimester) and lactation. Dosage Form: Ornafer № 30. 15 tablets in a blister, 2 blisters in a cardboard box with an insert leaflet.
