What is it?
Neodine Povidone Iodine 10% Solution Disinfectant Solution For External Use Composition: 30ml preparation contains: Povidone-iodine----------------------------------------------3g Excipients: Glycerin 85% -0.382g, Nonoxynol 9-0.094g, Citric acid, Disodium hydrogen phosphate-0.096g, Sodium hydroxide-0.0351g, Distilled water-up to 30ml. Description: Dark brown, viscous liquid with a characteristic iodine odor. Miscible with water in any proportion. General Information. Povidone-iodine is a complex of polyvinylpyrrolidone polymer with iodine. Active iodine is gradually released from the complex and exerts an antiseptic effect on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, without burning the tissues, at the site of application. A faintly colored layer remains, which persists until the entire amount of iodine is released. Neodine can be reapplied after decolorization. Used for skin surface treatment before and/or after surgery. Indications for use: · Antiseptic treatment of skin and mucous membranes before surgical operations, invasive examinations (biopsies, punctures, blood collection, before injections, etc.) · Antiseptic treatment of skin around catheters, drains, probes. · Treatment of hands of surgeons, medical personnel before operations. · Hand treatment when caring for an infected patient. Method of use: Depending on the indications, Neodine is used both diluted and undiluted. If diluted, the solution should be diluted immediately before use with boiled water at room temperature in a 1:10 or 1:100 ratio. Storage of the prepared solution is not allowed. Method of use: For antiseptic treatment of skin before surgical operations, invasive examinations (biopsies, punctures, blood collection, before injections, etc.), undiluted Neodine solution is applied to the skin surface for 1-2 minutes. Dosage form: 30 ml solution in a dark orange colored polymer material bottle with a dropper and screw cap. Use is not allowed if the expiration date is exceeded or if there is a visual defect. Shelf life: 3 years. Storage conditions: Store at temperatures of 15-25°C, protected from light and out of reach of children. Safety: Non-toxic for external use. Internal use of Neodine is not allowed! Do not dilute with hot water!
