What is it?
Dosage form: Yellowish-brown ointment with a characteristic propolis aroma, insoluble in water. Pharmacological action: Possesses antipruritic, antifungal, bactericidal, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and tissue regeneration and epithelization stimulating effects. Indications: For the treatment of furunculosis, burns, purulent wounds, chronic non-healing sores, neurodermatitis, trophic ulcers, fungal diseases, proctitis, vaginitis, and cervical erosions. Contraindications: Individual intolerance to bee products; acute eczema. Method of administration and dosage: Apply propolis ointment to the affected skin area after removal of necrotic tissue, with or without a bandage, twice daily. Course of treatment: 2-3 weeks. Side effects: Hyperemia, rash, itching of the skin may develop during the use of propolis ointment. In such cases, the use of the preparation should be discontinued.
