International Nonproprietary Name - benzalkonium chloride Trade Name: ClearZal. Pharmacotherapeutic Group: Preparation with antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal action. Indication: Onychomycosis. Contraindication: Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Side Effect: In rare cases, redness and itching may occur. If these symptoms appear, the use of the preparation should be discontinued. Method of Administration and Dosage: Apply twice daily around the entire nail and under the free edge of the nail to the site of infection. Before applying the preparation, it is necessary to clean and dry the affected area. Duration of treatment is 2-8 weeks. Precautions: The preparation should not come into contact with the mouth, nose, or eyes. Dosage Form: 0.1% solution for external use, 30 ml/l in a glass bottle with a dropper in a cardboard box. Storage Conditions: Store in a place inaccessible to children, not exceeding 25 C. Dispensing Conditions: Available without a prescription.
