What is it?
Composition: Sodium hyaluronate (0.2% w/v), TS-polysaccharide (0.2% w/v), mannitol, sodium citrate, citric acid monohydrate, water for injection. What is this medicine? Xiloial Zero is a sterile, preservative-free, moisturizing and lubricating ophthalmic solution containing the following protective substances: a lubricating substance with a mimetic action on the mucous membrane (sodium hyaluronate) and a substance with protective and balancing functions (TS-polysaccharide). The product does not contain preservatives and phosphates. When should it be used? Xiloial Zero is a combined ophthalmic solution of TS-polysaccharide and high molecular weight sodium hyaluronate, developed on the basis of biotechnological synthesis, and is used to achieve a long-lasting relief effect for dry eyes. Sodium hyaluronate is a substance with a mimetic action on the ocular mucous membrane and excellent lubricating properties (due to the high viscosity of its solution), which causes a moisturizing effect and stabilization of the tear film. TS-polysaccharide is a natural substance extracted from the seeds of the Tamarindus indica plant and has protective effects on the cornea and conjunctiva of the eye. In particular, TS-polysaccharide forms a protective film on the surface of the eye, which helps restore the physiological balance of the tear film. The combination of these 2 substances is characterized by a synergistic effect on the cornea and conjunctiva of the eye, protecting them from irritation caused by environmental factors (wind, sun, smoke, dry air), visual stress (excessive light exposure, prolonged use of computers), or mechanical factors (contact lens wear, post-operative period of eye surgery), leading to the development of a long-lasting relief effect. Xiloial Zero is compatible with contact lens wear and therefore it is not necessary to remove the lenses before using this ophthalmic solution. What is the dosage? One (1) drop in each eye once a day, or more often (as needed). Precautions: The product is intended for external (ophthalmic) use only. Do not use the product if the container is damaged. Do not use the product if you are hypersensitive to any of its components. Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on its container. Do not touch the tip of the bottle to the surface of your eye. Do not ingest this solution. In rare cases, due to the high viscosity of the solution, slight and temporary blurred vision may occur after using the eye drops; therefore, it is recommended to wait a short while for this blurred vision to disappear before performing activities requiring sharp and clear vision. Wait at least 10-15 minutes after using these eye drops before taking any other ophthalmic medicine. After opening, each bottle can be used for a maximum period of 90 days. Close the bottle tightly after each use and ensure that no drops of solution remain on the tip; if there are residual drops, remove them from the tip of the bottle with a quick and sharp wrist movement. To avoid the risk of bottle collapse, do not dispense more than 30 consecutive drops from the bottle. Keep out of reach of children. Store below 25°C. This product is not a medicinal product.
