What is it?
Santafenamat Gel Composition 1g gel contains 50mg etofenamate Therapeutic indications External, supportive symptomatic treatment of pain in the following conditions: - Painful conditions of joints due to acute contusion, blunt trauma, sprains and strains, e.g. due to sports injuries. - Painful conditions of periarticular soft tissues (bursae, tendons, ligaments and joint capsule) in gonarthrosis. Santafenamat is used 3 times daily. Depending on the size of the painful area, a 10cm strip (equivalent to 3g gel and 15mg etofenamate) is sufficient. For blunt trauma, the maximum daily dose is 9g gel, equivalent to 450mg etofenamate. For blunt trauma (sports injuries), 1 week of treatment is usually sufficient. The therapeutic benefit of prolonged use has not been investigated. For rheumatic diseases, 3-4 weeks of treatment are sufficient in most cases. If symptoms persist, patients are advised to consult a doctor to determine the need for further treatment. Method of use For topical use. Santafenamat is applied as a thin layer to the affected area and gently rubbed into the skin. After applying Santafenamat, it should be allowed to dry on the skin for a few minutes. It is not recommended to cover with a bandage or clothing. Store at room temperature, not exceeding 25⁰C, in the original packaging
