What is it?
Composition: Selenium 200mcg. Pharmacotherapeutic group: Microelement, antioxidant. Recommendation for use Selenium Forte is a cofactor of the antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase, which neutralizes the most aggressive free radicals formed endogenously and exogenously and protects the cell from their harmful effects. Selenium is part of the enzyme iodothyronine 5-deiodinase, which controls the formation of triiodothyronine. In hypothyroidism, Selenium Forte not only activates thyroid hormone but also protects the thyroid gland from free radical damage. Selenium Forte, as an antioxidant, reduces the level of the stress hormone cortisol in the blood and improves mood. Selenium promotes increased activity of interleukin 2 (IL-2) and normal growth and development of T-helpers. Consequently, it improves the immune system. Dosage and administration Selenium Forte is prescribed once a day, during breakfast. The course of treatment is one month. It is recommended to undergo a prophylactic course 2-3 times a year.
