What is it?
Senade Neo Composition: Calcium salts of A and B sennosides -- 13.5mg (in the form of senna leaf extract). Excipients: Lactose, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, sodium lauryl sulfate, methylparaben, talc, magnesium stearate. The preparation is made on the basis of senna leaf extract (Cassia acutifolia Del.; Family – Fabaceae). Pharmacological action: The preparation irritates the receptors of the large intestine and reflexively enhances peristalsis, which leads to faster bowel emptying and restoration of its normal function. It does not cause addiction and does not interfere with digestion. The preparation's action begins 8-10 hours after administration. Recommendation for use: Used in complex therapy as an adjunct. Constipation caused by hypotonia and relaxed peristalsis of the large intestine. Regulation of stomach function in cases of hemorrhoids, proctitis, and anal fissures. Dosage and administration: Taken orally, usually once a day, before bedtime, with water. Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 tablet per dose. If there is no effect, the dose is increased to 2-3 tablets. Children: 6 to 12 years of age: 1/2 tablet per dose, and if necessary, the dose is increased to 1-2 tablets. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation; intestinal obstruction, incarcerated hernia, acute inflammatory diseases of the abdominal organs, peritonitis, gastrointestinal bleeding, metrorrhagia, cystitis, spastic colitis, water-salt metabolism disorders. The preparation is prescribed with caution during pregnancy and lactation, in children under 6 years of age, and in the postoperative period. Side effects: The laxative effect of the preparation may be accompanied by colicky abdominal pain. Overdose and prolonged use can cause diarrhea. Special instructions: During treatment, urine becomes yellowish-brown or reddish-violet in color. This should not cause concern: the natural color of urine is restored after discontinuation of treatment. It is not recommended to use Senade Neo tablets for more than 2 weeks. Overdose: In case of overdose, diarrhea may occur, which can lead to dehydration. In this case, it is necessary to drink plenty of fluids. Pregnancy and lactation: Use of the preparation during pregnancy and lactation is permissible only after assessing the benefits and risks of the preparation. Interaction with other preparations: With prolonged use in large doses, it may enhance the action of cardiac glycosides and affect the action of antiarrhythmic drugs by increasing the risk of hypokalemia. Storage conditions: Store in a dry, light-protected place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Use of the preparation is prohibited after the expiration date or if defects are found during visual inspection.
