What is it?
Tetracycline Ointment for Eyes 1% 5g Tube Composition: Each 5g of Tetracycline 1% Ointment for Eyes contains: Active ingredient: Tetracycline, calculated as Tetracycline Hydrochloride - 50 mg; Excipients: Petrolatum, Hard Paraffin, Lanolin; Indications for use: Eye infections caused by Chlamydia: Trachoma; The preparation is used for the treatment of other eye infections caused by tetracycline-sensitive bacteria (including Chlamydia), such as: conjunctivitis, keratitis, blepharitis, blepharoconjunctivitis, keratoconjunctivitis, meibomianitis (hordeolum), trachoma. Dosage and administration: Locally. A strip of ointment from 0.5 to 1 cm is placed behind the eyelid: For blepharitis, blepharoconjunctivitis: 3-4 times a day for 5-7 days; For keratitis, keratoconjunctivitis: 2-3 times a day for 5-7 days. If the condition does not improve within 3-5 days, consult a doctor; For meibomianitis (hordeolum): at night, until the symptoms of inflammation disappear; For trachoma: every 2-4 hours or more often for 1-2 weeks. As the inflammatory process subsides, the preparation is used 2-3 times a day. The duration of the trachoma treatment course is 1-2 months. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation, Impaired liver and kidney function, Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, Child age (up to 8 years). Use during pregnancy or lactation: The use of the preparation during pregnancy and lactation is contraindicated. Ability to affect reaction rate when driving vehicles or operating machinery: For patients who temporarily lose visual acuity after application, it is not recommended to drive a car or operate complex machinery, machine tools, or other complex equipment that requires visual acuity after using the medicinal product. Storage conditions: Store in the original packaging. In a dry place and at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
