What is it?
Trade name: Travogen International Nonproprietary Name: Isoconazole Description: Opaque cream, white to slightly yellowish. Pharmacotherapeutic group: Antifungal preparations for external use. Imidazole derivatives. Indications for use: Superficial fungal infections of the skin: - Dermatophytoses of smooth skin, including localization in the interdigital spaces and external genitalia. - Cutaneous candidiasis. - Pityriasis versicolor. - Erythrasma. Method of administration and dosage: For external use, 1 time a day. Travogen is applied thinly to the affected skin area with slight rubbing. The duration of treatment is 2-3 weeks, for mycoses localized in the interdigital folds, 4 weeks. A longer course of treatment is also possible. For prevention of recurrence, treatment should be continued for 1-2 weeks after the disappearance of clinical symptoms. Side effects: In isolated cases: burning, itching, erythema or vesiculation (formation of blisters). Extremely rarely: allergic skin reactions. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Pregnancy and lactation: Experience with the use of isoconazole-containing preparations during pregnancy does not indicate a risk of teratogenic effects. It has not been established whether isoconazole passes into breast milk, therefore, the preparation should not be applied to the mammary glands before breastfeeding. Effect on ability to drive and operate machinery: Does not affect. Shelf life: 5 years. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
