What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - Tyrothricin, Neomycin, Benzalcon.chl.BenzoActive ingredients: Tyrothricin, Neomycin sulfate, Benzalkonium chloride and Benzocaine1 lozenge contains:Tyrothricin 0.50 mgNeomycin sulfate 0.83 mgBenzalkonium chloride 0.50 mgBenzocaine 1.50 mgExcipients: Peppermint oil, Eucalyptus oil, Magnesium stearate, Menthol, Povidone, Sucrose, Talc.Tyrothricin "Provita" comp. lozenges contain antibacterial active ingredients - Tyrothricin, Neomycin and Benzalkonium chloride, as well as an analgesic ingredient - Benzocaine.The preparation is used for the treatment of mild to moderate inflammation of the oral cavity and throat (in case of sore throat, inflammation of the oral mucosa and gums).Take the preparation as prescribed by your doctor. For additional information, consult your doctor or pharmacist.Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the recommended doses are:Adults: 1-2 tablets several times a day, maximum 6 tablets per day.Children and adolescents: This preparation is not prescribed for children under 12 years of age. Due to insufficient research, its administration in adolescents is not recommended.Method of administration and duration:To be taken orally.The tablet should be dissolved completely in the mouth. Do not swallow or chew. Do not brush your teeth shortly before or immediately after taking the preparation, as toothpaste reduces the effectiveness of the preparation. If you do not feel relief within approximately 5 days, consult your doctor. The preparation is not intended for long-term use.OverdoseAn overdose can cause dysfunction of the inner ear or vestibular apparatus, heart weakness, disruption of the transmission of excitatory nerve impulses, arrhythmia (disruption of heart rhythm), a metallic taste, convulsions (epileptic seizure), or may cause kidney failure. Ingestion of excessive amounts of benzocaine may cause methemoglobinemia
