What is it?
Therapeutic indications: Neurology: Various forms of cerebrovascular disorders: post-stroke conditions; vascular dementia; vertebrobasilar insufficiency; atherosclerosis of cerebral vessels; post-traumatic and hypertensive encephalopathy, for the relief of neurological and mental symptoms of cerebrovascular disorders. Ophthalmology: Chronic vascular diseases of the eye vessels and retina. Otorhinolaryngology: Perceptive hearing loss, Meniere's disease, tinnitus. Dosage and administration: Take orally, after meals. Daily dose 15-30mg (5-10mg 3 times a day). No special dosage is required in case of liver or kidney diseases. Use of Cavinton and Cavinton Forte in children is contraindicated (see Section 4.3). Contraindications: Pregnancy and lactation. Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation; childhood (due to lack of clinical data). Pregnancy and lactation: Use of the preparation during pregnancy and lactation is contraindicated. Pregnancy: Vinpocetine crosses the placental barrier, with concentrations in the placenta and fetus being lower than in the pregnant woman's blood. No teratogenic effect of the preparation has been found. In preclinical studies, high doses of the preparation in some cases led to placental bleeding and spontaneous abortion, likely due to increased placental blood supply. Lactation: Vinpocetine can penetrate into breast milk. In preclinical studies using radioactive isotopes, the radioactivity of breast milk was 10 times higher than that of adult animal blood. Use of Vinpocetine during lactation is contraindicated because it is excreted with breast milk and there is insufficient number of clinical observations regarding the safety of the preparation in infants. After taking 1 tablet of Vinpocetine, 0.25% of the administered dose is transferred to breast milk within 1 hour. Storage conditions: Store at a temperature of +15C to +30C. Store in a place protected from light
