What is it?
Composition: Active ingredient: Castor oil. Indication: Castor oil is prescribed for constipation of various origins, and poisoning (except for intoxication with fat-soluble substances). Contraindications: The preparation is contraindicated in poisoning with fat-soluble chemical compounds (phosphorus, benzene, phenol, etc.) and also with fat-soluble antihelminthic agents; during acute inflammatory processes in the abdominal cavity (appendicitis, peritonitis, etc.); in case of gastric and duodenal ulcer disease, ulcerative colitis, during pregnancy; in elderly patients; during uterine bleeding; in cachexia. The preparation is not prescribed for children under 1 year of age. Special instructions: Consult a doctor before starting treatment with castor oil. Interaction with other medicinal products: If you are taking any other medicinal products, be sure to consult your doctor regarding the possibility of using the preparation. Methods of use and dosage: As a laxative, castor oil is used before bedtime. Adults take 15-30 g; children aged 1 to 5 years - 5 g (1 teaspoon), 5 to 10 years - 10 g (1 dessert spoon), over 10 years - 15 g per dose. In case of overdose, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea may develop. In this case, you should immediately consult a doctor. Possible side effects: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Prolonged use of the preparation may lead to intestinal atony. Shelf life: The shelf life of the preparation is 5 years. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging!
