Properties

What is it?

Composition: 1 tablet contains: 10 mg Dihydralazine sulfate, 0.1 mg Reserpine, 10 mg Hydrochlorothiazide. Indications: The combination of reserpine, hydralazine, and hydrochlorothiazide is used for the treatment of hypertension. Dosage and administration: Dosage is individualized by titration. Dosage in adult patients with hypertension: Initial dose: 1 tablet once daily. Maintenance dose: 1-2 tablets daily, divided into 1 or 2 doses. The dosage regimen is determined by individual titration. Hydrochlorothiazide should be prescribed with caution in severe renal diseases. Hydrochlorothiazide should be prescribed with caution in liver diseases. Daily doses higher than 0.25 mg reserpine and 0.5 mg hydrochlorothiazide are not recommended. If the hypotensive effect is insufficient after taking 2.5 tablets, additional hydralazine or another hypotensive agent should be prescribed. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to reserpine; depression or history of depression; active gastric and duodenal ulcer, ulcerative colitis, patients undergoing electroconvulsive therapy. Hypersensitivity to hydralazine, coronary artery disease, mitral valve rheumatic carditis. Absence of urine excretion, hypersensitivity to hydrochlorothiazide or other sulfonamide derivatives. Overdose: Symptoms and signs: Reserpine: possible clouding of consciousness from somnolence to coma. Increased blood flow to the skin, conjunctival injection, and pupillary constriction. In severe overdose, low blood pressure, low body temperature, central respiratory depression, and bradycardia develop. Increased salivation and gastric secretion, diarrhea are also possible. Hydralazine: symptoms of overdose include hypotension, tachycardia, headache, increased blood flow to the skin. Complications include myocardial ischemia with subsequent infarction, arrhythmia, and shock. Hydrochlorothiazide: a characteristic sign of poisoning is acute loss of fluid and electrolytes. Tachycardia, hypotension, shock. Weakness, clouding of consciousness, dizziness, muscle pain in the hands, paresthesia, relaxation, impaired consciousness. Nausea, vomiting, thirst. Polyuria, oliguria, or anuria. Hypokalemia, hyponatremia, hypochloremia, alkalosis, increased urea. Symptoms and signs may be exacerbated by the parallel administration of antihypertensive agents, barbiturates, digitalis preparations, corticosteroids, narcotics, and alcohol. Treatment: Gastric lavage, administration of activated charcoal solution are necessary. Medical supervision is required. Appearance and packaging: White, round, flat, unscored tablets with a dividing line on one side. 10 tablets per blister. 1 blister, along with instructions for use, in a cardboard box.
