What is it?
Aertal Cream 1.5% Composition: 1.0 g of cream contains: Active substance: micronized aceclofenac - 0.0150 g; Excipients: emulsifying wax, liquid paraffin, methylparahydroxybenzoate (E218), propylparahydroxybenzoate (E216), purified water. Therapeutic indications: Treatment of all types of local pain and inflammation caused by any injury to the musculoskeletal system, including sports injuries. The preparation can be used to reduce inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles, and joints in cases of sprains, strains, or bruises, as well as for the treatment of lumbago, torticollis, and periarthritis. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the active substance of the preparation or to any of the excipients listed in the "Composition" section. The preparation should not be administered to patients with a history of hypersensitivity to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Although possible cross-hypersensitivity with diclofenac has not been confirmed, this preparation is not recommended for patients with a history of hypersensitivity to diclofenac. Aceclofenac, like other NSAIDs, is contraindicated in patients in whom acetylsalicylic acid or NSAIDs cause asthmatic attacks, urticaria, or acute rhinitis. Use during pregnancy and lactation: Pregnancy: Animal studies have not revealed any adverse effects on pregnancy, embryonic/fetal development, labor, and postpartum development. Currently, there is insufficient data on the safety of the preparation in pregnant women; therefore, the use of Aertal cream during pregnancy is prohibited. Breastfeeding: There is no data on whether aceclofenac is excreted in breast milk. Therefore, the use of the preparation during lactation is not recommended. Dosage and administration: Dosage regimen: Aertal cream should be applied three times a day with gentle rubbing movements to the affected area. The dose to be used depends on the size of the affected area: 1.5-2 g of Aertal cream corresponds to approximately a 5-7 cm strip of cream. Patients should note that when using the preparation without a doctor's prescription for the treatment of injured muscles or joints (sprains, distortions, bruises) or inflammation of ligaments, the duration of use should not exceed 2 weeks. For the treatment of arthritis, when using the preparation without a doctor's prescription, the duration of use should not exceed 3 weeks. If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 7 days of use, the patient should consult a doctor for further examination. Children: No data available. The use of Aertal cream in children is not recommended. Elderly patients (over 65 years): The same dose is used for the treatment of elderly patients as for adult patients. Method of administration: This preparation is intended for external use only and occlusive dressings should not be used when it is prescribed. After applying the cream, hands should be washed, unless the preparation is applied to the hands. The preparation should not come into contact with eyes or mouth. Aertal should only be applied to intact skin. Effect on ability to drive and use machinery: Aertal cream does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery. Storage conditions: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25ºС. Keep out of reach of children.
