What is it?
Albucid (Sulfacyl) Eye Drops 30% 10ml Vial Composition: Sodium sulfacetamide 300 mg/ml Indications: Conjunctivitis, blepharitis, purulent corneal ulcers, and other infectious eye diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to sulfonamides; complex treatment of trachoma. Dosage and Administration: Instill 1-2 drops every 2-3 hours initially. The course of treatment is 7-10 days. For trachoma – instill 2 drops every 2 hours. Contraindications: Toxic-allergic reactions to sulfonamides. Use during pregnancy and lactation: As indicated. Side effects: Local irritation, burning, nonspecific conjunctivitis, conjunctival hyperemia. Overdose: The dose of the preparation should be reduced, the interval between eye drop applications should be increased, or the use of the preparation should be discontinued. Warnings: Prolonged use may lead to: increase in microorganisms insensitive to the preparation, including fungi; development of bacterial resistance. Storage: Store at 8-25 C.
