What is it?
Alefin Gel 30g Composition: Active substances are diphenhydramine hydrochloride and lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate. 1 g of gel contains 20 mg of diphenhydramine hydrochloride and 10 mg of lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate. Other excipients are: propylene glycol (E1520), hydroxyethyl cellulose, citronella oil, disodium edetate, purified water. Indications: Alefin is indicated for adults, adolescents, and children from 2 years of age for the symptomatic treatment of inflammatory and allergic skin reactions accompanied by itching and caused by external factors, including insect bites, contact with plants (e.g., nettles). Pregnancy and breastfeeding: During pregnancy or breastfeeding, if pregnancy is possible or planned, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. Pregnancy: Lidocaine crosses the placental barrier, but no harmful effects on the fetus were observed in animal studies. Due to the limited studies confirming the safety of the medication during pregnancy, Alefin should be avoided during pregnancy. Breastfeeding: Lidocaine is excreted in breast milk, but in small amounts, which do not pose any risk to the infant. Driving and operating machinery: Alefin has no or negligible effect on driving or operating machinery. Usage: The medication should always be used exactly as instructed or prescribed by your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse. If the patient is unsure, consult your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse. Alefin is intended for topical use on the skin. Dosage: Apply a small amount of gel to the affected skin and spread gently. It can be used 2-3 times a day as needed. Storage: Store below 25°C, do not refrigerate or freeze. Shelf life after first opening: 3 years, but no later than the expiry date indicated on the packaging. Do not take the preparation after the expiry date indicated on the packaging, the expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
