What is it?

Allerdex Eye Drops 0.1% 10ml Composition: 1 mg of the preparation contains: Active ingredients: Dexamethasone 1 mg. Excipients: Sodium chloride, Edetate disodium dihydrate, Benzalkonium chloride, Citric acid monohydrate, Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, Disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, Polysorbate 80, Purified water. Indications: Indicated for the treatment of non-infectious inflammatory conditions of the conjunctiva, cornea, and anterior segment of the eye responsive to steroid therapy, such as: Anterior uveitis Iris inflammation Ciliary body inflammation Allergic conjunctivitis Vernal conjunctivitis Herpes zoster with ocular involvement Superficial punctate keratitis Nonspecific superficial keratitis Also indicated for the treatment of corneal injuries sustained from chemical, radiation, or thermal burns, or from trauma caused by a foreign body in the eye. Indicated for post-operative use to reduce inflammatory reactions and suppress graft rejection. Dosage regimen: Adults, adolescents, and children The frequency of instillation and duration of treatment depend on the severity of the disease and the response to treatment. In acute inflammation, instill 1 or 2 drops every 30-60 minutes until recovery. If no improvement in symptoms is observed, consider the possibility of subconjunctival and systemic steroid therapy. Contraindications: Vaccinia, varicella, or other infectious diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva (except herpes zoster with ocular involvement) Herpes simplex keratitis Fungal infections of ocular structures Ocular mycobacterial infections Untreated acute bacterial infections Hypersensitivity to dexamethasone or any of the excipients. Effect on driving and operating machinery: Due to the possibility of lacrimation after instillation of the preparation, it should not be used immediately before driving a vehicle or operating machinery. Storage conditions and shelf life: Shelf life is 3 years when stored in the original unopened packaging. After opening the vial, eye drops should be used within 4 weeks.
