What is it?
Alfosceți IM. IV Solution for Injection 250mg/1ml 4ml Composition: Each 1 ml of solution for injection contains 250mg of choline alfoscerate. Excipient: Water for injections. Indications: Degenerative and involutive psycho-organic syndromes of the brain or secondary consequences of cerebrovascular insufficiency, i.e., primary or secondary cognitive disorders in elderly individuals, characterized by memory impairment, confusion, disorientation, decreased motivation and initiative, and reduced attention span. Changes in behavior and emotional state: mood lability, irritability, indifference to surroundings. Pseudodementia of the elderly. Dosage and Administration: Dosage: Adults and the elderly Recommended dose: 1000 mg (one ampoule) per day intramuscularly or intravenously (slowly). The clinical efficacy of treatment with choline alfoscerate should be regularly assessed. Treatment with choline alfoscerate may be continued until a therapeutic effect is achieved. Treatment should be initiated and monitored by a physician experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of cognitive dysfunction in dementia and stroke of various etiologies. Diagnosis should be based on current guidelines. Renal and hepatic impairment The safety and efficacy of choline alfoscerate in patients with impaired renal and hepatic function have not yet been established. Pediatric population The safety and efficacy of choline alfoscerate in children under 18 years of age have not yet been established. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Pregnancy and lactation. Fertility, pregnancy, and lactation: Pregnancy: There is insufficient data on the use of choline alfoscerate in pregnant women. Animal studies do not indicate direct or indirect harmful effects in terms of reproductive toxicity. Lactation: There is insufficient data on the secretion of choline alfoscerate/metabolites in animal milk. Alfosceți is not used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Storage: Store below 25°C in the original packaging.
