What is it?
Algestin Gel 40g Tube Composition: 40 g gel contains: 0.4 g Aescin (amorphous), 2.0 g Diethylaminesalicylate. Excipients: Lavender oil, Neroli oil, Isopropyl alcohol. Pharmacological properties: The preparation, whose formula includes spirit, exhibits anti-exudative, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic properties. Amorphous Aescin (amorphous), when rubbed in, penetrates the skin well, prevents fluid accumulation in tissues and the development of swelling, and also contributes to the rapid elimination of local swelling that develops after injuries and bruises. Salicylic acid enhances the anti-inflammatory effect and relieves pain syndrome. Algestin Gel is quickly absorbed and is transparent. Indications: As an anti-exudative, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic agent, it is indicated for post-traumatic bruises, hematomas, deformities, tenosynovitis, and pain syndrome associated with inflammatory-degenerative diseases of the spine (cervical syndrome, neck pain, lumbago, sciatica). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation, children under 2 years of age, breastfed infants. Warnings / Special Instructions: Do not use on mucous membranes, damaged skin, and areas not protected from sunlight. Side effects: In rare cases, allergic skin reactions are observed. Method of administration and dosage: The gel is applied to the affected area of the skin (rubbing is possible) in a thin layer several times a day, unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor. Course of treatment: Use until symptoms of the disease disappear. Storage conditions: Store at room temperature up to 30+C, in a cool place, inaccessible to children. Shelf life: 2 years Use only strictly as prescribed by a doctor. Do not use the preparation after the expiry date.
