What is it?
What is Alinan Calcium + D3: Alinan Calcium + D3 is a strawberry-flavored combination product that promotes proper bone formation and growth, reduces the risk of hypocalcemia and rickets, and ensures normal neuromuscular function. Active Ingredients: Calcium Gluconate and Lactate - 230 mg (amount/10ml); 57.528 (% RNI*) Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) 2.5 mcg (amount/10ml); 50.029 (% RNI*) RNI - Recommended Nutrient Intake for infants 7-12 months - Source WHO 2004. Excipients: Purified water, sorbitol, acidity regulators (malic acid, citric acid), sodium benzoate, polyoxyethylene 40 hydrogenated castor oil, sodium saccharin, strawberry flavoring. Energy Value: 2.62 kcal / 5 ml. 1 teaspoon = 5 ml syrup. Calcium Gluconate and Lactate are organic calcium salts that are well absorbed by the body and used to replenish calcium deficiency. Their action is similar, but both are well-tolerated, especially in children. It promotes bone tissue formation, mineralization, strengthens tooth enamel, and reduces the risk of rickets and osteopenia. It is also essential for normal muscle contraction, participates in nerve impulse transmission, and promotes normal hemostasis (stopping bleeding). Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) is a fat-soluble vitamin that is critically important for calcium-phosphorus metabolism, bones, immunity, and many other systems. It increases calcium and phosphorus absorption from the intestines, ensures bone mineralization, reduces the risk of rickets, osteomalacia, and osteoporosis, and promotes normal bone growth in children. It also improves muscle contraction and tone, enhances innate and acquired immune responses, and reduces inflammatory reactions. Does not contain sugar, alcohol, or dyes! Indications: • Treatment and prevention of calcium and vitamin D3 deficiency • Active growth period in children • Teething period • Caries prevention • Treatment and prevention of rickets • Complex treatment of allergies (atopic dermatitis and asthma). Dosage and Administration: • Infants up to 1 year: 5 ml syrup (one teaspoon) 2-3 times a day; • 1-3 years: 10 ml syrup (2 teaspoons) 2 times a day; • Over 4 years: 10 ml syrup (2 teaspoons) 3 times a day. Contraindications: Not recommended for patients with hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, chronic kidney disease, or kidney stone disease (renal lithiasis). Also not recommended for patients with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Interactions with other drugs: Calcium may reduce the absorption of tetracycline and fluoride preparations. When taken concurrently, it may reduce the response to verapamil and other calcium channel blockers. When taken in high doses, it may increase the effect of digoxin and the risk of developing cardiac arrhythmias. Storage conditions: Store at room temperature, out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging or bottle label.
